Cancellation and Refund Policy
Clear and flexible cancellation terms for Buggy Do bookings, including refunds, no-shows, weather cancellations, booking changes, and operator cancellations.
Last updated: August 2026
At Buggy Do, we understand that travel plans can change. This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains the conditions that apply when customers cancel, modify, miss, or are unable to participate in a booked experience.
By completing a reservation through BuggyDo.com, you agree to the cancellation terms displayed during checkout and in your booking confirmation.
1. Free Cancellation
Unless a different cancellation policy is clearly displayed for a specific experience, customers may cancel their reservation at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time to receive a full refund of the eligible amount paid.
To qualify for free cancellation, the cancellation request must be received before the applicable 24-hour deadline.
For example:
If your experience is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Friday, the free cancellation deadline is 10:00 AM on Thursday, based on the local time of the experience.
2. Cancellations Less Than 24 Hours Before the Experience
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled experience are generally non-refundable.
At this stage, vehicles, guides, transportation, capacity, and other operational resources may already have been reserved for the customer.
Buggy Do may review exceptional circumstances individually, but approval of a refund or credit is not guaranteed.
3. No-Shows
A reservation will generally be considered a no-show when the customer or participant:
Does not arrive at the confirmed pickup or meeting point
Is not ready at the confirmed pickup time
Arrives after the tour or transportation has departed
Provides incorrect hotel or pickup information that prevents service
Fails to respond to reasonable attempts to contact them
Decides not to participate after the experience has been dispatched
Misses the activity for reasons unrelated to Buggy Do or the operating provider
No-shows are non-refundable.
4. Late Arrivals
Customers are responsible for being ready at the confirmed pickup or meeting location at the scheduled time.
Shared transportation may not be able to wait for late participants because other customers and scheduled activities can be affected.
If a customer arrives late and misses the tour, the reservation may be treated as a no-show.
We strongly recommend being ready before the confirmed pickup time.
5. Hotel Pickup Issues
Customers are responsible for providing accurate hotel, accommodation, and contact information.
Some Punta Cana resorts restrict third-party vehicles from entering the property. In these cases, customers may be instructed to meet transportation at a lobby, main entrance, security gate, or designated meeting point.
Customers should carefully review their pickup instructions.
If Buggy Do or the operating provider changes the pickup location, reasonable efforts will be made to communicate the updated instructions.
6. Booking Changes
Customers may request changes to:
Tour date
Departure time
Number of participants
Vehicle configuration
Pickup hotel
Selected experience
Changes are subject to availability.
Requests received at least 24 hours before the scheduled experience have the best chance of being accommodated.
A price difference may apply when changing the vehicle, number of participants, date, tour, or other booking details.
7. Changing From Single, Double, or Family Buggy
Vehicle configurations are reserved according to the customer's booking.
Changes between:
Single Buggy
Double Buggy
Family Buggy
ATV
UTV
Polaris
or another vehicle category are subject to availability and applicable price differences.
If a customer chooses a single vehicle configuration that carries a single-rider surcharge, that additional charge will be disclosed before the modification is completed.
8. Cancellation by Buggy Do or the Tour Operator
Occasionally, Buggy Do or the operating provider may need to cancel an experience because of circumstances such as:
Unsafe weather conditions
Mechanical or operational problems
Government restrictions
Attraction closures
Road closures
Safety concerns
Insufficient operational availability
Other circumstances preventing the experience from being safely or reasonably provided
When the provider cancels an experience, Buggy Do will generally offer one of the following:
Reschedule the experience
or
Select a reasonable alternative when available
or
Receive a refund for the canceled service when an appropriate alternative cannot be provided or is declined where applicable.
Customers will not be charged a cancellation penalty when Buggy Do or the operating provider cancels the experience.
9. Weather Policy
Buggy, ATV, UTV, and Polaris tours are outdoor adventures.
Normal tropical weather conditions do not automatically result in cancellation.
Tours may continue during:
Light rain
Cloudy weather
Muddy conditions
Normal tropical showers
Mud and water can form part of the off-road experience.
Customers should not assume that a tour is canceled because it is raining at their hotel.
The decision to cancel, delay, or modify an activity for safety reasons will be made by Buggy Do or the operating provider based on actual operating conditions.
10. Severe Weather
An experience may be canceled, delayed, modified, or rescheduled when conditions such as severe thunderstorms, flooding, hurricanes, tropical storms, dangerous road conditions, or other significant weather events make operation unsafe.
When an experience is canceled by the provider because of unsafe weather and cannot reasonably be rescheduled, an eligible refund will be offered according to the circumstances and applicable law.
11. Rain Is Not Automatically a Reason for a Refund
Punta Cana's tropical climate can produce short or localized rain showers.
Rain alone does not automatically qualify a customer for cancellation outside the applicable cancellation period.
If the tour remains operational and the customer independently decides not to participate because of normal rain or expected muddy conditions, the reservation may be treated according to the standard cancellation policy.
12. Hurricanes and Force Majeure
Extraordinary events outside reasonable control may affect bookings.
These can include:
Hurricanes
Tropical storms
Flooding
Natural disasters
Government restrictions
Public emergencies
Civil disturbances
Major road closures
Other force majeure events
Buggy Do will make reasonable efforts to provide alternatives such as rescheduling, credits, alternative experiences, or refunds when applicable.
The appropriate solution will depend on the circumstances, services already provided, supplier conditions, and mandatory consumer rights.
13. Changes to the Tour Itinerary
Routes and stops may occasionally change because of:
Weather
Road conditions
Attraction closures
Safety concerns
Traffic
Local restrictions
Operational circumstances
Minor or reasonable itinerary changes do not automatically qualify for a refund.
However, if a material component of the purchased experience cannot be provided, Buggy Do will review the situation and provide an appropriate solution based on the circumstances and applicable consumer rights.
14. Macao Beach, Cenote, Cave, and Other Stops
Customers should review the itinerary before booking.
Macao Beach, caves, cenotes, countryside stops, tastings, and other attractions are only included when specifically stated in the selected experience.
If a particular stop becomes unavailable for safety or operational reasons, the operator may modify the route when reasonably necessary.
Material changes will be addressed according to the circumstances and applicable booking terms.
15. Participant Requirements
Customers are responsible for reviewing the participation requirements before booking.
These may include:
Minimum driving age
Minimum passenger age
Driver's license requirements
Health restrictions
Pregnancy restrictions
Vehicle capacity
Safety requirements
A refund may not be available when a participant is denied participation because they failed to meet a requirement that was clearly disclosed before booking.
16. Alcohol, Drugs, and Unsafe Behavior
Participants who arrive under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or another impairing substance may be refused permission to operate a vehicle.
Participants may also be removed for dangerous, abusive, reckless, or seriously disruptive behavior.
When participation is refused or terminated for violation of clearly communicated safety rules, the booking is generally non-refundable, subject to applicable law.
17. Customer Chooses to Stop the Tour
Once an experience has started, customers who voluntarily choose to stop participating for personal reasons are generally not eligible for a refund.
Exceptions may be reviewed when the experience cannot reasonably be delivered because of an issue attributable to Buggy Do or the operating provider.
18. Mechanical Problems
Off-road vehicles are mechanical equipment, and unexpected issues can occasionally occur.
If a vehicle develops a mechanical problem, the operator should make reasonable efforts to:
Repair the vehicle
Replace the vehicle
Provide an alternative
Allow the customer to continue the experience
A mechanical issue that is quickly resolved does not automatically qualify for a full refund.
If the customer loses a substantial portion of the purchased experience because of an unresolved mechanical problem, Buggy Do will review the situation and determine an appropriate remedy.
19. Refunds for Service Problems
If you believe the experience materially differed from what was purchased, contact Buggy Do as soon as reasonably possible.
Please provide:
Booking number
Customer name
Date of experience
Description of the problem
Photos or videos when relevant
Other supporting information
Each complaint will be reviewed based on the booking description, circumstances, communications, and information provided by the operating provider.
Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate resolution may include:
Partial refund
Full refund
Credit
Rescheduling
Alternative experience
No refund when the booked service was properly provided
20. How Refunds Are Issued
Approved refunds are generally returned to the original payment method used for the reservation.
Once Buggy Do issues the refund, additional processing time may be required by the payment processor, card issuer, or financial institution.
The time required for the funds to appear in the customer's account is outside Buggy Do's direct control.
21. Currency and Exchange Rates
When a customer's bank or payment provider converts the transaction into another currency, exchange rates and international transaction fees may apply.
Buggy Do is not responsible for exchange-rate differences or fees independently charged by the customer's bank or card provider.
When a refund is issued, the amount appearing in another currency may differ because of changes in exchange rates or third-party fees.
22. Duplicate Payments
If you believe you were charged more than once for the same reservation, contact Buggy Do immediately.
Verified duplicate charges will be corrected and refunded when appropriate.
23. Chargebacks
Customers are encouraged to contact Buggy Do before initiating a payment dispute so we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve legitimate concerns.
Nothing in this policy limits a customer's lawful right to dispute a transaction through their payment provider.
Buggy Do may provide booking confirmations, communications, attendance information, cancellation terms, and other relevant evidence when responding to payment disputes.
24. Third-Party Bookings
When a Buggy Do experience is purchased through an external marketplace, travel agency, hotel, reseller, or other third-party platform, cancellation and refund requests may need to be processed through the company where the reservation was originally purchased.
The cancellation policy shown on that booking may apply.
Customers should contact the original booking channel when necessary.
25. How to Cancel a Buggy Do Reservation
To request a cancellation, contact Buggy Do through the official contact methods published on BuggyDo.com.
Include:
Booking number
Customer name
Experience date
Cancellation request
The effective cancellation time is when the request is received through an authorized Buggy Do contact method, not when the customer decides to cancel.
We recommend keeping the cancellation confirmation for your records.
26. Special Cancellation Terms
Certain experiences may have different cancellation requirements because of:
Private arrangements
Large groups
Special events
Customized tours
Limited-capacity vehicles
Third-party attraction requirements
When a different cancellation policy applies, it will be disclosed before booking and will take precedence over the general 24-hour cancellation policy for that reservation.
27. Contact Us
